Uriel Saenz
This is part of a special series, presented by US Lifestyle Group, that focuses on a diversity of American social media voices impacting our culture.
Describe your fans?
My global fan base has been built over decades and are a mix of adventurous executives and young gen Zers. They are a collective of people that represent the various threads that exist on earth. but through all those differences they share their love for quality with authenticity.
When have you used your social media influence to impact social issues?
This is part of the formation of each project I take part in. for me global social issues are part of my execution from the concept phase. Each of my collections brings awareness to a particular one.At my core Im a humanitarian and a warrior for those who might not have a voice or have been silenced.
What shapes your personal style?
I mostly dress for the role i’m plating that day. I take my style as an opportunity to have fun and be playful. If I am going to a big corporate meeting, I would most likely wear a tailored power suit. if im heading to a gala ill be 007. but also if im simply going to a kids piñata party ill wear a conversational T. I think dressing for the event is just proper etiquette. Don’t get me wrong id wear a tuxedo every day if I could.
Who has the biggest influence on you and why?
My biggest influence is my mother. She taught me to be authentic at all cost. She was seamlessly vulnerable yet confident. in her behavior she showed me that we don’t loose value by being authentic and the power authenticity has combined with confidence and vulnerability. It was important to her to be stylish while maintaining an inviting demeanor.
